How to Apply for Prerequisite Clearances & Transfer Credits

You can apply for transfer credits or prerequisite clearances for the following:

• Successful completion of higher education courses in the U.S.
• Successful completion of higher education courses another country
• High level International Baccaleureate (IB) examinations
• Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations

Due to processing times, you should begin the process as soon as you receive your Offer of Admission email from SBCC. 

To apply for transfer credits towards your SBCC degree or certificate program, meet with an Academic Counselor to begin the process. Schedule a Transfer Student Appointment with an academic counselor.
